Yoga and walking holidays in the UK are combine two health giving practices from very different traditions. The Yogandspice yoga and walking holidays introduce both yoga and the beauty of the North York Moors. These week-end and 5 day breaks are great for yoga beginners and suit both individuals and couples.
At Valley View we can walk in four different directions without getting in a car. Both the North York Moors and the Whitby coast are less than and hour way via woodland, meadows, paths and tracks.
Our yoga and walking breaks are designed for the moderately fit recreational walker with walks from four to ten miles. The terrain is varied and includes ancient paths, pastures, the disused railway line, cliff top trails and beach walks, taking in Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. On our longer walking breaks, we visit the iconic villages of Grosmont and Goathland, better known as the setting for Heartbeat and also Hogsmeade Station for the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter series. Sometimes, on one of the coastal walks, tide permitting, we get a close to the local seal colony.

Yoga for beginners
Yogandspice yoga and walking holidays welcome beginners or intermediate yogis and the daily practices introduce a variety of yoga styles including Hatha (simple posture yoga), gentle, and restorative yoga, as well as an introduction to seasonal flow. If the weather permits we also take some practices to the great outdoors.
We will start each day with an energising yoga practice. Then on return from each invigorating walk there will be a gentle yoga and Yoga Nidra/ relaxation. And you can enjoy all the relaxation facilities of Valley View or book a massage or Ayurvedic consultation.
Whitby by night
Depending on the length of the walk and daily schedule. we provide three vegetarian/vegan meals a day or two and a packed lunch. On our five night breaks we include an evening meal in Whitby, with a chance to explore the beautiful coastal town by moonlight.
Prices for yoga and walking week-ends (two nights) start at £325 per person for a shared twin room.
Add a third night with a light supper and breakfast for £35 per person.
Yoga and walking breaks (five nights) are from £625 per person for a shared twin room. Additional nights, on a self-catering basis, can be added to extend your stay.
