Yoga retreats in North Yorkshire
We are not far from Whitby, on the North Yorkshire Coast, nestled in protected woodland, between the moors and the sea. Aptly named Valley View, our site is a wildlife haven, an ecological microcosm and a tranquil and beautiful place to stay.
Whether you simply want some time away because the pressures of ‘normal’ life are taking their toll, or you seek a more focussed style retreat with yoga, guided relaxation, plant based food workshops or even a detox, we welcome you to spend time with us.
Mark and I moved to this special place to fulfil our dream to create a special space. At Valley View guests can enjoy the healing power of nature and of home grown seasonal produce. Then we and our team can enhance your experience with complementary therapies and help you rebalance or move forward if wanted.
Yoga retreats and holidays and much more
As we are first and foremost a yoga retreat centre we offer stays of varying lengths. And as well as organised retreats and holidays we welcome you to stay with us for a private get away and perhaps book a private lesson, massage or workshop.
If the idea of a retreat centre is a little daunting to you, check out some dictionary definitions:
Retreat (n): ‘move back; withdraw from position; quiet time; quiet place; safe place; period of seclusion, flag lowering ceremony!’
‘ Holding the fort’ can be exhausting sometimes. We’ve been there ourselves, and taken some knocks. Now we are finding a way forward through living in a simpler and more connected way.
We would love it if you chose to spend some time at Valley View. If you do choose to step back a little you could be amazed by what you see.
